
Fabio Procoli
After graduating from the University of Bari in 2004, he moved to the United Kingdom where he worked for 5 years as a general practitioner.
In 2008, he completed a 12-month rotating internship at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.
From 2009 to 2012, he completed an ACVIM-approved residency in Internal Medicine at the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) in London.
In 2013, he earned the diploma of specialist in internal medicine (DipACVIM) from the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, followed in 2014 by the European diploma from the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (DipECVIM-CA).
In 2014, he completed a Master's degree in Gastroenterology at the RVC (MVetMed). From 2014 to 2017, he worked as an internist at Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists in Winchester, UK, where he is also Deputy Head of Internal Medicine.
Since 2017, he has been head of the internal medicine unit at Anicura Ospedale Veterinario i Portoni Rossi, becoming Medical Director and Practice Manager in 2024.
He has published in international journals and is the author of the textbook "Feline Gastroenterology" (Edra Ed). He is the director of the Internal Medicine Program and the SCIVAC Gastroenterology course. Since 2025, he has been President of SIMIV and President of the European Society of Comparative Gastroenterology (ESCG).
