
Carla Giuditta Vecchiato
Graduated with honors in Veterinary Medicine in 2014, she obtained a PhD in Veterinary Sciences from the Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences at the University of Bologna in 2018, and has held the position of university researcher (RTD/A) since 2023.
In 2024, she completed a residency program and passed the Certifying Exam, obtaining the EBVS® European Specialist in Veterinary and Comparative Nutrition title.
She practices clinical dietetics for dogs and cats at the University of Bologna, and her main research interests focus on the study of the composition and activity of the intestinal microbiota in healthy dogs and cats and those affected by diseases, such as chronic enteropathy and obesity.
She has presented papers at national and international conferences and has published articles in national and international journals. She is a frequent speaker at refresher courses on canine and feline nutrition.
He is a member of the Italian Society of Animal Nutrition (SIANA), the European College of Veterinary & Comparative Nutrition (ECVCN), and the European Society of Comparative Gastroenterology (ESCG). He is a member of the ESCG's board of directors.
